From as young as 9, Sapphire taught herself the skills of baking and cooking. Not from Mum, but the Edmonds Cook book. That foundation taught her enough to secure a career in hospitality. There’s honesty in her cooking and her heart. She’ll know what you’ll like, and won’t hold back telling you. Sapphire’s far more than a master cake maker – she’s also a top barista and trains her young team in the fine art of creating the perfect Altura expresso. Her favourite Domain dish? Lemon & Yoghurt Cake. Hers, of course.
From sparky to something more saucy! Francis is our self-taught Chef who traded wires for noodles. He’s worked at many well-known Auckland eateries before bringing his passion for creative dishes to Domain. An instinctive cook, Francis loves his savouries and your feedback. He wants you to change the way you think about food by discovering exciting new flavours. Try his Ota (raw fish) and you’ll be an instant disciple.
